Mechanical Design Engineer

For our company site in Rehovot, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for the design of opto-mechanical assemblies and mechanisms for advanced technological projects

In this role you will:

Design opto-mechanical assemblies, mechanisms, electronic card mechanics, fixtures, and alignment and measurement equipment for complex projects

Work independently and/or as part of a multidisciplinary team while meeting project requirements, schedules, and quality standards from concept phase through documentation, integration, and production support

Collaborate closely with multiple disciplines including Electronics, Optics, and System Engineering

Perform mechanical design activities combining engineering calculations, analysis tools, and creative problem-solving

Support manufacturing processes and work with various technological interfaces throughout the product lifecycle

Requirements:

B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering

At least 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, including leading mechanical tasks within multidisciplinary teams

Experience in opto-mechanical design - Advantage

Deep understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, and sheet metal bending

Experience working with CAD software and knowledge of SolidWorks - Advantage

Knowledge of tolerances and technical drawing preparation

Understanding of mechanical design for electronic cards and experience with mechanical mechanisms - Advantage

Strong analytical thinking, creativity, ability to work independently in a multitasking environment, and excellent interpersonal skills
