Job Overview

Job Summary:**

Operate and maintain a concrete batch plant for Primoris Heavy Civil projects in Louisiana, ensuring the production of high-quality concrete mix according to specifications.

Job Responsibilities:**

• Operate all components of a concrete batch plant, including conveyors, hoppers, mixers, and control systems.
• Monitor and adjust aggregate, cement, water, and admixture levels to ensure precise concrete mix proportions.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on plant equipment, identifying and reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
• Conduct quality control tests on concrete samples (slump, air content, temperature) and maintain accurate production logs.
• Coordinate with truck drivers, dispatchers, and project managers to ensure timely and efficient concrete delivery.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues.
• Assist with the setup and tear-down of the batch plant as needed.

Job Qualifications:**

• Proven experience as a concrete batch plant operator.
• Knowledge of concrete mix designs and aggregates.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and project specifications.
• Familiarity with plant control systems and software.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as project demands.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
