Adtran is looking for an outstanding   Full - Stack   Software Engineer   to work on   the   new SDO   C ontroller Web UI   and   Mosaic   Network Controller Web UI   projects . Th ese applications are used by   network operators to manage their networks built upon Optical Transport devices.

The successful candidate will   be responsible for   designing, developing, and continually improving our product s   using   new technologies   and best agile practices, and will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the product meets the needs of our customers.

The  Software   Engineer will be   the   first   engineer in the team   responsible for   full-stack   development   and   the only   eng inee r   res po nsi ble for   GUI   de vel opment . Other teams with in   the organization already include engineers working on full-stack development.

Duties   and   Responsibilities

The primary responsibility will be developing   front - end   and some back-end features   f or   the   SDO   C ontroller and Mosaic   Network Controller product

Design and implement new product features using React,   Java   and Spring technologies

Design or   assist   in   design   new   features for the   SDO controller   product

-
Develop   an   enhancement s   for   existing software

-
Contribute to feasibility studies of needed software development

-
Document the design including   features   definition and architecture

-
Participate in design reviews and code reviews

-
Develop unit and component - level test s for   implemented software modules and enhancements

-
Coordinate development activities across teams while meeting project schedules

-
Fix software bugs found during all testing phases

-
Work with the team to deploy and test incremental software releases

Basic   Qualifications

-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education   required

-
At least 4 years of   professional   experience   as a   Front -e nd   or   Full-stack   D evelop er

-
A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering

-
At least 2 years of experience developing React - based applications

-
Experience with JavaScript /TypeScript   and Node. js

-
Experience with React   test frameworks   (J est   or similar)

-
Experience   developing UI components using Story book   and collaborating with UX designers using   Figma or equivalent tools

Programming skills in Java (good knowledge   of   Java 8+, in project we use Java 25)

Knowledge of software   construction   techniques

-
Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and design patterns

-
Knowledge of Linux system

-
E xperience   with   J U nit

-
Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.

Knowledge of relational databases and SQL

-
Experience   with Spring   Framework / Spring Boot

-
Excellent   teamwork   abilities .

Work experience with version control systems (Git).

-
At least B1 English   proficiency   level.

Preferred   Qualifications

-
Experience with developing and deploying large scale interactive React based applications

Experience with testing tools such as   Jest,   Cypress Selenium

Strong focus on assuring code quality
