"At TRM, we believe the people we hire will determine how far and how fast we can go in our mission to build a safer world for billions of people. That’s why we’re building a Talent team that sees recruiting as a craft and a competitive advantage, people who challenge assumptions, move with urgency, and are energized by building exceptional teams to solve incredibly hard problems. If that sounds like you, we’d love to meet you."
– Alicia Strait https://www.linkedin.com/in/alicias11/, VP of Talent, TRM Labs
At TRM, hiring is a mission accelerator. Every exceptional seller we bring on expands our reach into the markets where illicit finance does the most damage: public sector and defense, financial institutions, and crypto. When TRM closes the right customer, investigators get better intelligence, compliance teams catch more, and criminal networks lose ground. Your ability to find, engage, and close sales talent directly fuels this mission.
As a Sales Recruiter (Contract), you'll own recruiting for specialized Sales roles across our GTM organization, bringing a true sales mindset to talent: prospecting, influencing, and closing exceptional candidates in competitive markets where judgment, persistence, and product market fit decide who wins. You’ll be accountable for pipeline health, conversion, speed, quality, and outcomes.
The impact you'll have:
- Build and own high-velocity pipelines, consistently generating qualified candidates for priority Sales roles across public sector, defense, financial institutions, and crypto.
- Run recruiting like a sales funnel: managing top-of-funnel sourcing through close with a sharp focus on conversion, speed, quality, and candidate experience.
- Act as a trusted closer for hard-to-hire Sales talent, overcoming objections, creating urgency, and driving offer acceptance against strong competition.
- Design and execute targeted outreach campaigns using market intelligence, personalized messaging, and persistent, credible follow-up to engage passive candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers and business leaders by aligning on priorities, tradeoffs, profiles, and strategy to hit aggressive goals.
- Bring market fluency across enterprise sales talent pools, including sellers with experience calling on government agencies, financial institutions, crypto-native companies, blockchain ecosystems, and emerging tech markets.
- Continuously optimize performance using funnel data and feedback, improving outreach effectiveness, pass-through rates, and time-to-close.
- Serve as a talent advisor to the business, bringing insight on market dynamics, comp expectations, candidate motivations, competitive trends, and hiring risk.
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of recruiting experience in high-growth, technical, enterprise, or mission-driven environments.
- 3+ years of experience successfully recruiting experienced Sales professionals across one or more of: public sector, defense, financial institutions, crypto, blockchain, DeFi, fintech, compliance, cybersecurity, or enterprise SaaS.
- A strong outbound sourcing muscle: proven ability to identify, engage, nurture, and close passive candidates for competitive, hard-to-fill roles.
- Experience partnering with senior GTM leaders to define strategy, calibrate profiles, diagnose funnel problems, and drive searches to close.
- Strong command of pipeline metrics and conversion data, with the ability to spot bottlenecks, adjust quickly, and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
- Comfort operating in a quota-like environment, balancing multiple searches while protecting the highest-impact roles.
- A persuasive, credible communication style that lands with senior candidates, hiring managers, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent judgment on candidate quality, motivation, risk, and close strategy.
- Grit, resilience, and a closing mindset: you create momentum rather than wait for inbound interest.
