Verification of Benefits (VOB) Specialist – Ophthalmology Experience (Remote)

Snapscale is seeking a dedicated Verification of Benefits (VOB) Specialist with ophthalmology expertise to join our remote team. This role involves verifying insurance benefits and ensuring accurate billing practices to support our ophthalmology clients.

Responsibilities:

• Verify insurance benefits for ophthalmology services through various insurance portals.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate patient information and coverage details.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and industry regulations.

• Resolve discrepancies in insurance coverage and communicate findings to relevant parties.

• Document all verification activities and maintain organized records.

• Assist in streamlining the VOB process to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance verification, preferably in ophthalmology insurance.

• Strong understanding of medical billing and coding procedures.

• Proficient in using insurance verification software and online portals.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively.

• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
