Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • Own strategic E2E planning across APAC for a single gender in the Abercrombie or Hollister Co brand
  • Own pre-season top line plan including sales revenue, margin & margin rate, inventory strategy for all departments within relevant brand and gender
  • Generate the pre-season buy plan, inventory depth strategy down to item level with buying partner
  • Develop assortment framework for the gender, focusing on crucial items to spark growth and connect with Asian customers (assuming 10-20% of SKU’s will be region specific)
  • Participate in Home Office financial workshops and line reviews, highlighting high level strategies and the financial "story" for the season from a regional perspective
  • Provide integrated planning and forecasting, drive business development of the gender
  • Own monthly MPC forecast, identify risks & opportunities against financial & inventory plans of the gender. Review regional progress against plans, propose and execute product re-trends in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Create and execute in-season promo, recommend pricing structure changes as needed, within guidelines set out by the Home Office
  • Partner with SH Operations Team to ensure channels are sufficiently inventoried including but not limited to the financial forecasting, discount & pricing and promotional activities.
  • Own the performance planning and analysis of the gender, identify department level strength & opportunities across APAC regions, share insights with regional stakeholders
  • Review weekly performance, recommend read & react solutions including but not limited to chase in inventory, revise pricing strategies and PEC solutions, etc.
  • Present weekly updates including strengths, opportunities and action plans as part of a regular Monday review process, share results with APAC leadership team as well as key stakeholders at the Home Office
  • Execute post-season hindsight & strategic line review (gender/ department level) to inform future planning
  • Team leadership
  • Lead & coach item planner to accelerate skill development & performance
  • Interface remotely with Home Office teams on a regular basis, carrying out consistent updates and communicating effectively on a day-to-day basis
  • Partner with SH Operations Team and cross-functional partners (e.g., promo, marketing, buying, IM) to align execution with brand vision

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or University undergraduate equivalent in Business, Finance, Economics or related field required
  • At least 5 years merchandising, planning, buying or equivalent experience in a corporate retail environment preferred
  • Analytically driven with proven critical thinking & problem-solving abilities
  • Clear knowledge of target customer and product trends
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and multi-tasking skills
  • Team-oriented with strong leadership skills
  • A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional partners to achieve the vision of the brand
