The Patient Care Assistant position is part of the Med/Surg Department and is a full -time role working 72 hours per two-week pay period. The primary shift is 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM , with a schedule that may include a combination of 12- and 8-hour shifts. This position includes every 3rd weekend and holiday responsibilities.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Hospital experience and departmental experience preferred

Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, and professionalism

Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and commitment to customer service

Team-oriented with a focus on providing seamless patient care
Key Responsibilities

Perform various patient care activities and related non-professional services to support patient comfort and personal needs

Use a systematic approach to assess patient needs and collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff
