What does a Supervisor VAT Consultant at Grant Thornton do?

As a key technical point of contact , you support clients and help ensure the quality of the team’s output.

You provide high-quality VAT advice to national and international clients, mainly SMEs and mid-sized organisations.

You work on more complex VAT projects , such as VAT implementations, optimisations, regularisations and VAT reviews.

You are closely involved in Belgian and international VAT compliance , including preparation, review and follow-up of VAT returns and related filings.

You support clients during VAT audits and inspections , assisting in communication with the VAT authorities and follow-up actions.

You review the work of junior consultants and provide clear, practical feedback on specific assignments.

You coordinate daily tasks within engagements, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met (without people management responsibility).

You work autonomously on your files, while knowing when to escalate matters to Managers or Partners.

You collaborate closely with colleagues within the VAT team and with other service lines.
