The Central Processing Technician supports the Surgery Department by ensuring that all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are properly cleaned, disinfected, sterilized, and organized for use in surgical and endoscopy procedures. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday , providing consistent support to meet the needs of the department. Flexibility is required to accommodate the department. The role plays a vital part in maintaining patient safety and smooth clinical operations by managing inventory, assembling case carts, and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure seamless delivery of care.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required.

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician or previous central processing/sterilization experience strongly preferred.

• Must demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and strong communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and provide excellent customer service.

• Must exemplify reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all central supply and sterilization procedures in accordance with established standards.

• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and endoscopes.

• Manage supply inventory, including restocking and maintaining accurate organization.

• Pick and assemble surgical and endoscopy case supplies.

• Support coordination of care by collaborating with surgical, endoscopy, and ancillary departments.

• Adapt to departmental needs, including willingness to work different days or hours as required.
