Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual…

To join our team as an Account Program Manager! The Account Program Manager leads the relationship between utility clients and retail programs across our New Mexico service territory. This is a largely remote/field-based role with a weekly in-person team check-in, and it comes with a meaningful amount of travel across the state, so we're looking for someone who's just as comfortable working independently as they are collaborating with a team.

Responsible for the cost, implementation and performance of company retail programs. Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of business plans, work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Ensures the development process is congruent with current market trends, program goals, and client needs. Develops new business or expands the product line with the client. Analyzes problem/opportunity areas of assigned programs and evaluates options. Evaluates performance and makes recommendations on marketing actions. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to program plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Determines the profitability and viability of new products or program enhancements. Develops strategies and tactics to ensure effective program performance relative to market opportunity, working closely with company functional groups over the entire life cycle. Coordinates closely with technical, marketing, operations, analytics, and administrative teams supporting the program. This role does not carry direct people-management responsibility but does require strong cross-functional collaboration.

Here at CLEAResult, you will fit right in with our energetic team if you are resourceful, resilient, and kind.

For this exciting career opportunity, you're a great fit if you can…

  • Manage one or several concurrent contracts, $2m-$5m annual revenue w/out incentives
  • Execute contracts for compliance and client satisfaction
  • Coordinate with cross-functional field teams typically consisting of 7-15 people (without direct management authority)
  • Balance maintaining and growing existing client, contractor, and manufacturer relationships with developing new ones, expecting close to an even mix of both
  • Travel across the state as needed, typically 25% or more of the role, which may include occasional overnight trips depending on project and outreach schedules
  • Attend a weekly in-person team meeting at our Albuquerque-area warehouse, along with occasional in-person site visits
  • Stay flexible to support additional programs beyond your primary assignment as business needs shift
  • Programs may have significant complexity and risk (new client, new product, etc.)
  • May create technical content & intellectual property
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with utility, retailers and manufacturers
  • Assist in writing and presenting proposals
  • Assist in the development of field representative territory and frequency of visits to retailers
  • Use strong Excel skills and professional written communication to support day-to-day account management and reporting

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

  • Relevant work experience plus 5-8 years project management
  • Background in energy efficiency or utility program work preferred, but not required. We're happy to train the right candidate
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Reliable personal vehicle for regional travel (mileage reimbursed; rental cars provided for out-of-town trips)
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and drug screening

Target Compensation: $70,000

Location: Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Open to candidates in surrounding areas, with the understanding that more frequent travel to the metro area will be required.
