Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a commercially pivotal role at a small but fast-moving life science company that has developed a proprietary drug-delivery technology for enhancing the solubility, bioavailability, and taste profile of plant-based active ingredients. You will be the primary bridge between the technical lab team and buyers at leading supplement brands and contract manufacturers, converting warm leads from a strong recent trade-show presence into lasting B2B partnerships.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own and drive the full sales cycle for ingredient customers across nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food, and personal care segments.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key accounts including procurement and R&D contacts at supplement brands and toll manufacturers.
  • Translate complex technology and formulation science into compelling, consultative sales conversations.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows and events, leveraging and expanding an existing network.
  • Collaborate closely with internal lab and product teams to align technical capabilities with customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and account activity records in a CRM.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • A degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline, such as food technology, nutritional science, pharmacy, biotechnology, chemistry, or life-science-focused business administration.
  • 2 to 4 years of B2B sales, key account management, or business development experience within the ingredient, supplement, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven ability to sell technical or science-backed products in a consultative manner.
  • A strong existing network across the nutraceutical or related ingredient markets, including familiarity with distributors, key events, and prospective customers.
  • Experience selling ingredients within nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, or biochemistry, with cyclodextrin formulation experience being a strong plus.
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits and industry events.
  • Comfortable operating in a startup or scale-up environment with a high degree of ownership.
  • CRM proficiency is a plus.
