Summary
The Product Adoption & Enablement Manager drives the adoption of every product OneDigital builds and launches. This role is the dedicated adoption and enablement partner to our Product Managers, owning the rollout planning, communication, coordination, and champion-network mechanics that turn a release into real usage, so Product Managers can stay focused on product strategy and delivery.
The role works across the full suite of applications supported and launched by the Product team, including applications added to the portfolio over time. It is embedded in how the Product team operates, plugged into roadmaps and the operating rhythm closely enough to know what is coming, where each initiative sits in the rollout lifecycle, who is impacted, and what the communication, training, and enablement motion needs to look like. It is involved early enough to own adoption and enablement strategy across the portfolio proactively, rather than receiving a finished release and reacting to it.
While accountable for building and executing structured rollout and adoption plans and for surfacing actionable insights, this role partners with Product Managers and business leaders, who retain accountability for KPIs and business results. The role exists to support the Product Management team, not to substitute for it. Product Managers remain accountable for ensuring their applications have the functionality and usability users need. This role is accountable for ensuring users know how to use each application, understand what it can and cannot do today, are getting the most out of what exists right now, and are encouraged toward adoption overall.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Portfolio Visibility & Adoption Strategy
- Participate in the Product team's operating rhythm, including roadmap reviews, planning and prioritization discussions, and release readiness checkpoints, as a standing member of the team rather than an occasional invitee.
- Maintain a forward view of the portfolio: what is coming, on what timeline, where each initiative sits in the rollout lifecycle, and which audiences are affected.
- Own the adoption and enablement strategy across the portfolio, determining the communication, training, and enablement motion each initiative warrants, and sequencing that work across applications.
- Engage upstream, while releases are still being shaped, so adoption and enablement needs inform rollout timing, sequencing, and readiness rather than being addressed after the fact.
- Assess change impact early: who is affected, how significant the change is for them, and what level of support it warrants.
- Coordinate with L&D to ensure users know how to use each application and understand its current capabilities and limitations. Where adoption is constrained by missing functionality or usability problems, surface it clearly to the responsible Product Manager, who owns remediation.
- Remove adoption and enablement planning from each Product Manager's individual workload, replacing it with one consistent approach applied across the portfolio.
User Release Communication
- Own the drafting, publishing, and sending of release notes and platform updates to the user base across all Product-supported applications.
- Translate technical and product inputs from Product Managers into clear, user-facing language that explains what changed, why it matters, and what the user needs to do.
- Own messaging consistency for release notes and platform updates; define and maintain the templates, cadence, tone, and quality standards so communication is consistent across applications.
- Manage the release communication calendar, sequencing updates across applications to avoid overloading shared audiences.
- Partner with Marketing and Communications, where required, on enterprise-wide message consistency across every channel, including larger company-wide communication initiatives where a release requires broader reach than the standard user channels.
Rollout Planning & Coordination
- Develop tailored rollout plans for each initiative, flexing the approach to the size, audience, and complexity of the product or feature, based on an underlying repeatable framework those plans draw from.
- Align rollout plans with business objectives through close engagement with business stakeholders, so each rollout is tied to what the business is trying to achieve.
- Orchestrate delivery across contributing teams to support application and functionality rollouts.
- Coordinate with the L&D team to schedule and stand up training support tied to releases, including where a rollout plan calls for tailored or audience-specific training.
- Coordinate with Marketing to promote enablement content such as success stories and customer proof points.
- Guide and partner with L&D and Marketing, where required, on their workstreams, including training, enablement, and messaging, to align with the strategic adoption plan.
- Track rollout dependencies, timelines, and handoffs, and keep Product Managers and contributing teams aligned on who owns what and by when.
- Flag coordination risks and blockers early so Product Managers can adjust rollout timing or sequencing.
Champion Network Governance Support
- Support the governance of the champion network across the product portfolio.
- Help Product Managers formalize how champions are recruited, trained, and activated.
- Maintain the operating mechanics of the network, including rosters, onboarding, communication rhythms, and activation playbooks, so Product Managers are not rebuilding the process for each launch.
- Serve as a consistent point of contact for champions and route their questions and feedback to the right Product Manager or team.
Adoption Support
- Monitor and interpret utilization metrics and adoption statistics across supported applications using existing reporting and dashboards.
- Surface insights and patterns, including where adoption is lagging, which segments are stalling, and what is working, rather than reporting raw numbers.
- Partner with Product Managers to develop and refine strategies to increase adoption based on what the data shows.
- Recommend additional metrics worth tracking where current reporting does not answer the adoption questions Product Managers need answered.
- Close the loop after launches by capturing what drove adoption and feeding those learnings into the next rollout plan.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Product communications capability is a priority: demonstrated ability to take a release or a new capability and turn it into clear, engaging communication for the end user, not simply announcing that something launched, but creating genuine interest in it and articulating plainly why it matters to the person using it.
- Strong writer, able to take technical product input and produce clear, concise, user-facing communication with minimal editing. Writes with energy as well as accuracy, so communication leaves users wanting to try what shipped rather than merely informed that it exists.
- Understands how Product teams operate, including roadmaps, release cycles, and prioritization trade-offs, and is comfortable being embedded in that rhythm rather than bri
