Derivatives Electrical Wiring Diagrams Specialist

Job Description:

Mission of the position: The main mission of the position will be to transform theoretical electrical information provided by analysis teams into an electrical definition applicable to the real aircraft.

Brief description of the department´s mission: The successful candidate will receive electrical schematics and requirements generated by the analysis teams, for example, the required connections between different equipment, and convert them into aircraft Wiring Diagrams, taking into account the physical location of the equipment and the specific characteristics and constraints of an aircraft environment. We are looking for a candidate with solid hands-on experience in aircraft Electrical Wiring Diagrams who can become productive within the team relatively quickly.

RESPONSABILITIES: The main tasks will be:

• Receive and interpret theoretical electrical schematics and requirements prepared by analysis teams.

• Convert theoretical electrical information into Wiring Diagrams applicable to the aircraft.

• Define how the different equipment and systems must be electrically connected.

• Take into account the actual physical location of equipment within the aircraft when defining the wiring.

• Define appropriate electrical solutions when wiring crosses different aircraft areas, for example between pressurized and non-pressurized zones.

• Integrate information coming from different systems, including avionics and mission systems, contributing to the overall electrical system definition.

• Work closely with analysis teams, one of the main stakeholders of the position.

• Discuss and negotiate technical solutions when the information received from analysis teams is incomplete, changes during development or differs from the expected definition.

• Interface with different technical teams and stakeholders to reach technically sound solutions.

• Work within both military and commercial aviation environments when required.

• Support the continuous evolution and adaptation of the electrical definition throughout the aircraft development process.

SKILLS : We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Electrical Wiring Diagrams within the aeronautical sector.

• Proven hands-on experience developing or working with aircraft Wiring Diagrams and electrical schematics.

• Experience may come from either commercial or military aviation.

• Previous experience specifically within the aeronautical sector is required due to the particular characteristics and constraints of aircraft electrical systems.

• Experience with tools such as Simulink and/or CXP for working with and developing electrical schematics.

• High adaptability and flexibility to work with changing or incomplete technical information.

• Strong negotiation skills, particularly when interacting with analysis teams and other technical stakeholders.

• Ability to influence and technically defend proposed solutions in order to reach agreements with different stakeholders.

• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify alternative solutions when the expected information is not available.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with different technical teams.

• A professional level of English (approximately B2) is required in order to participate effectively in meetings, interact with international stakeholders and contribute to transnational projects when necessary.
