Sr. Set-up Technician - Metals (1st Shift)

Job Description

The Set-Up Technician supports the production needs of the operation by setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting machines in the   Machine Shop.

1st Shift Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am-3:00pm

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate, and maintain equipment   as needed to support operations

• D ocumentation of production, maintenance, and QC audits performed

• C omplete 1st piece inspection prior to release for production

• Make professional and lasting modifications and repairs to existing equipment

• Responsible for cosmetic criteria as specified and communicating criteria to employees

• Relay pertinent product and quality related information to Operators, Inspectors, Supervisors, and peers , in both   written and verbal   forms

• Organizing and maintaining the order and cleanliness of equipment, storage areas and   the   Machine Shop   as a whole

• Other duties and projects   as   determined   by production and business need s   ​

Education , Skills,   and Experience :

• High School   Diploma   or   equivalent   required

• Minimum of  five (5) years of previous experience preferred

• Must demonstrate understanding   and working knowledge   of equipment used to support production

• Established ability to identify and communicate issues and offer proposed solutions

• Great   attention to detail   is required

• Ability to manage interruptions in a professional and respectful manner is essential

• Above basic math skills and reasoning ability

• Moderate computer and Microsoft Office skills

• Forklift certification
