Project Scheduler - Primoris Heavy Civil - Louisiana

Job Overview

The Project Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules for heavy civil construction projects in Louisiana, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery.

Job Responsibilities:**

• Develop detailed project schedules, including resource loading and critical path analysis, using Primavera P6.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders to gather schedule input and ensure alignment.
• Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit regular schedule updates and reports to project teams and management.
• Conduct "what-if" scenarios and analyze potential impacts of changes to project scope, resources, or timelines.
• Facilitate schedule review meetings and communicate schedule status and issues effectively.
• Develop and maintain project progress curves, histograms, and other schedule-related metrics.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and industry best practices for scheduling.
• Assist in the development of project recovery plans when necessary.
• Support claims analysis and dispute resolution with accurate schedule data.

Job Qualifications:**

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Project Scheduler in heavy civil construction.
• Proficient in Primavera P6.
• Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, methodologies, and terminology.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) projects preferred.
