REVEL is an AI robotics company developing physical intelligence for general-purpose humanoid robots. We capture the force, dexterity and intent of human work with our Neural Gambit wearable, and use it to train RAI, the intelligence that powers our robots. REVEL is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, with R&D and engineering facilities in Prague and Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. This role is on-site with our industrial design team in Prague.

THE ROLE

REVEL is looking for an Industrial Design CAD Engineer to help turn product-design concepts into accurate, manufacturable and fully integrated hardware.

Working closely with Product Design and Engineering, you will translate evolving concepts and approved exterior surfaces into detailed CAD. You will develop the internal structures, mounting points and assemblies that allow exterior components to attach securely, move freely and provide access to the robot underneath. This role connects the visual design of the product with its physical construction.

This is a hands-on role working with real prototypes and an existing robotic platform. You will help take parts from CAD through printing, assembly and physical fit testing, refining designs alongside the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop detailed parametric CAD from industrial-design concepts, approved surfaces and imported geometry

• Translate design intent into manufacturable parts and assemblies

• Develop internal support structures, mounting solutions and interfaces beneath approved exterior shells

• Resolve part divisions, mounting points, fasteners, clearances and tolerances

• Integrate exterior components around joints, sensors, cables and existing mechanical systems

• Design for straightforward assembly, maintenance, removal and replacement

• Prepare geometry for 3D printing, rapid prototyping and future production methods

• Work closely with the printing team to fit, test and refine parts on physical prototypes

• Maintain clear, organised and version-controlled CAD assemblies as a shared reference for design, printing and engineering

• Contribute technical input throughout development, working iteratively with Product Design, Integration and Engineering through design reviews and prototype testing

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience

• Strong parametric CAD skills, including substantial professional experience with Autodesk Fusion (Fusion 360), which we use for detailed parts and assemblies. Experience across other CAD platforms is also valued

• Experience developing physical products from concept through prototype

• Good understanding of assemblies, tolerances, fastening and mechanical integration

• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes

• Experience designing for 3D printing and rapid prototyping

• Ability to work quickly and precisely within a multidisciplinary team, incorporating feedback from design, engineering and physical testing

• A relevant portfolio demonstrating resolved parts and assemblies, with evidence of physical prototypes or manufactured outcomes and a clear explanation of your own contribution

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience applying design-for-manufacture and design-for-assembly principles across multiple production processes

• Experience producing technical drawings and assembly documentation

• Hands-on workshop, printing, or prototype-assembly experience
