AML / Financial Crime Advisor (German)

David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading Outsourcing/BPO company that is looking to recruit a German speaking AML / Financial Crime Advisor for their office in Athens, Greece .

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze AML alerts according to defined priorities, regulatory requirements and client procedures

Conduct the necessary due diligence and identify required supporting documentation

Build clear and complete analysis files based on available information

Perform enhanced reviews of AML/CFT and financial risks

-
Analyze account statements and transaction activity

-
Investigate atypical operations and potential suspicious transaction patterns

-
Conduct clarification and homonym checks where required

-
Assess alerts based on predefined analysis scenarios and procedures

-
Make well-supported decisions and document the rationale accurately

-
Ensure cases are processed within defined timeframes and quality standards

Maintain accurate records and follow established compliance procedures

-
Work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider team.

REQUIREMENTS

-

Native or near-native German (C1+) and English at B2 level

-
Previous experience in AML, KYC, financial crime, banking or financial services is advantageous

Good general understanding of financial and banking systems

-
Knowledge of KYC and AML/CFT principles and practices

Ability to analyze account statements and transaction activity

Understanding of atypical transactions and suspicious activity patterns

Strong analytical and written communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and ability to make objective, well-supported decisions

Ability to interpret procedures and apply predefined investigation scenarios consistently

Comfortable working with repetitive tasks in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

Good computer and general PC skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
