Huawei's Hilbert Research Center is a product-motivated research and development center. We do research on industrial formal methods, weak memory model and concurrency, parallelization, and the full systems stack from hardware over operating system to web/rendering engines.

Senior/Principal Software Developer - Web Technologies and Rendering (m/f/d)
Your mission
Help us design, develop, and productization the next generation web engine for mobile and PC scenarios by supporting us in one or more of the following areas:

Architectural, algorithmic, and local optimizations of engine code, such as compiler, layout, or interpreter;

Development and evaluation of high-quality prototypes for the next generation web engine;

Development and application of tools based on formal methods to improve the stability and ensure the timely productization of innovative optimizations.
Your areas of expertise
-
BSc/Master or PhD in Computer Science or other related disciplines;
-
Profound knowledge of at least one of: Rust or C++;
-
Basic knowledge in concurrency and parallelism;
-
Familiarity with web technologies (implementations of Servo, v8, or related technologies, or web standards lawyering) or compiler technologies is a plus;

Familiarity with formal methods is a plus;

Experience with systems-level programming a plus;

Passion for software quality and performance, and openness to learn from failure;

Fluent in written and spoken English.
