Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Building and Places Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Orlando, FL.
Y our Role
-
Assisted senior engineers with mechanical design, analysis, and technical documentation.

Developed and updated CAD drawings and 3D models.
-
Performed basic engineering calculations and design evaluations.
-
Support equipment selections, t roubleshooting, and performance assessments.
-
Collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to complete engineering projects.
-
Prepared technical reports, specifications, and engineering documentation.
-
Ensured compliance with safety standards, industry codes, and company procedures.
-
Contributed to process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
-
Participated in multi-disciplinary coordination meetings
-
Maintained project records and provided engineering support throughout project lifecycles.
About You
-
EXPERIENCE:
-
0–2 years of relevant engineering experience.
-
Internships, co-op assignments, academic projects, or laboratory experience may be accepted in lieu of professional experience.

Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mechanics of materials, and machine design.

EDUCATION:
-
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
-
Experience using CAD software such as Revit or AutoCAD .

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Ability to perform fundamental engineering calculations and analyses.

Strong written and verbal communication skills .
-
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
-
Understanding of industry standards, safety requirements, and quality processes.

Experience with engineering documentation and technical report preparation preferred.

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS:
-
Engineer-in-Training (EIT/FE) certification preferred but not typically required .

A dditional Information
Expected compensation range is between $80 ,000 - $ 85 ,000 annuall y depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
