Job Description

As an IT Sourcing Analyst, you'll support the sourcing, negotiation, and management of technology-related agreements across Thomson Reuters. You'll be part of IT Sourcing within Global Services, working across procurement, real estate, and facilities management functions to deliver value through the sourcing of Software, Technology Services, Infrastructure, and Hardware.

You'll partner with internal stakeholders and technology suppliers to manage contracts, support negotiations, analyze spend and market data, track renewals, and identify opportunities to reduce costs and commercial risk. You'll help ensure that Thomson Reuters colleagues spend less time procuring technology, allowing them to focus on developing high-quality content and products that support customers and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

In this opportunity as an IT Sourcing Analyst, you will:

Support Commercial and Contractual Negotiations: Lead and support negotiations for Software, Technology Services, Infrastructure, and Hardware agreements, including pricing, licensing models, service-level agreements, liability, data protection, and renewal terms.

Manage IT Vendor Contracts and Renewals: Manage a portfolio of IT vendor contracts and renewals to ensure competitive pricing, favorable commercial terms, and alignment with Thomson Reuters risk and compliance standards.

Analyze Spend and Market Opportunities: Support the analysis of spend, contracts, suppliers, and market conditions across assigned technology categories to inform sourcing strategies and leadership initiatives.

Partner with Internal Stakeholders: Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, Information Security, Finance, and business stakeholders to review, negotiate, and finalize contractual documents, including MSAs, DPAs, SOWs, order forms, and license agreements.

Support IT Sourcing Transformation: Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of sourcing methodologies, technical capabilities, standards, processes, and systems within Global Procurement and IT Sourcing.

Build a Sourcing Opportunity Pipeline: Identify opportunities within assigned spend areas and maintain a pipeline that supports Category Leads and business stakeholders in understanding requirements and executing category strategies.

Track Vendor Performance and License Usage: Monitor supplier performance, licensing utilization, contractual commitments, and renewal timelines to identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce commercial or contractual risk.

Develop Technology Sourcing Expertise: Build and maintain working knowledge of Software, Technology Services, Infrastructure, and Hardware sourcing categories, as well as the internal functional groups within IT and procurement operations.

Interpret Business Requirements: Engage with internal customers to understand business needs, assess technology sourcing requirements, and recommend solutions using established procedures and sourcing best practices.

Solve Sourcing and Procurement Challenges: Analyze straightforward to moderately complex sourcing issues and propose practical solutions with an appropriate level of guidance and direction.

Maintain Stakeholder Relationships: Build trusted relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to facilitate productive collaboration and achieve balanced commercial outcomes.

Contribute to Operational Excellence: Support the ongoing improvement of IT sourcing practices, vendor-management processes, project-management activities, and procurement operations.

Required Qualifications

You are an ideal fit for the IT Sourcing Analyst role if your experience includes:

• Bachelor's degree.

• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

• One or more years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement, vendor management, contract negotiation, or a related field.

• Experience supporting or managing sourcing activities within Software, Technology Services, Infrastructure, Hardware, or related technology categories.

• Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial and contractual terms with suppliers, including pricing, licensing, SLAs, liability caps, and data-protection provisions.

• Ability to manage vendor contracts, renewal schedules, license usage, billing processes, and budget-related activities.

• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to review spend, contracts, supplier information, and market alternatives.

• Ability to interpret internal customer needs and translate them into technology sourcing requirements.

• Strong relationship-management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Legal, Privacy, Information Security, Finance, procurement, and business stakeholders.

• Professional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work collaboratively with team members while demonstrating initiative and accountability.

• Self-starter mindset, with the ability to drive results with moderate direction and a willingness to develop new skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of standard IT contract types and commercial terms, including MSAs, DPAs, SOWs, order forms, and software license agreements.

• Experience using procurement, sourcing, or contract-management systems, such as Ariba, SAP, or ServiceNow.

• Experience managing projects or a portfolio of sourcing initiatives.

• Familiarity with technology-market alternatives, supplier landscapes, and category-management practices.

• Experience negotiating with technology suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve favorable and balanced outcomes.

• Experience supporting sourcing transformation, procurement process improvement, or systems implementation initiatives.

• Familiarity with software licensing models, vendor-performance management, and technology contract renewals.

• Experience working in a global, matrixed, or cross-functional corporate environment.

• Knowledge of risk, compliance, privacy, information security, and data-protection requirements in technology procurement
