As a Software Engineer , you'll join a high-performing team within our Sleep Care Solutions organization, helping to build and evolve a patient management platform used across more than 140 countries. Working across the full software development lifecycle, you'll have the opportunity to design, develop, deploy, and support cloud-native solutions that make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and deliver new features across cloud-native applications and services.

• Take ownership of feature initiatives from design and architecture through production deployment.

• Build and enhance microservices and micro-frontend solutions within a modern application ecosystem.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineering teams across global locations.

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and support of Kubernetes-based infrastructure and services.

• Expand and improve automated testing frameworks, including unit, integration, and contract testing.

• Identify and implement security, reliability, and performance improvements.

• Explore and adopt new technologies, frameworks, AI tools, and development practices that improve engineering effectiveness.

• Support production systems and contribute to operational excellence when needed.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• Experience developing and delivering production-ready software using object-oriented programming languages, preferably Java.

• Experience building modern web applications, preferably using React.

• Solid understanding of cloud-native application development principles.

• Experience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable software solutions.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing practices, and software quality standards.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and DevOps-related tasks.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.

• Comfortable using AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and innovation.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized architectures.

• Experience designing microservices and micro-frontend applications.

• Exposure to global, distributed engineering teams.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is: $111,000 - $167,000.
