Job Summary
The Document Control Manager for Primoris Heavy Civil in Louisiana will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of document control for v heavy civil construction projects. This role ensures the efficient, accurate, and secure handling of project documentation, adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities**
- Develop, implement, and maintain document control procedures and systems for heavy civil projects in Louisiana.
- Manage the receipt, distribution, storage, and retrieval of all project documents, including drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, contracts, and correspondence.
- Ensure all documents are properly categorized, indexed, and filed electronically and/or physically.
- Control document revisions, ensuring only the latest approved versions are in circulation and accessible to relevant project teams.
- Administer document management software and databases, ensuring data integrity and user access control.
- Conduct regular audits of document control processes to ensure compliance with company policies and project requirements.
- Train project personnel on document control procedures and system usage.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely document flow and information sharing.
- Prepare and generate reports on document status, distribution, and archival.
- Support project closeout activities, including final documentation compilation and archiving.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive project information.
Job Qualifications**
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in document control.
- Proven expertise in implementing and managing document control systems and processes.
- Strong proficiency with document management software (e.g., Aconex, Bluebeam, Procore, SharePoint).
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles and associated documentation requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
