About the role

Responsible for estimating costs associated with TFS projects, preparing quotes and setting GM for each order with the outside sales team. Build and maintain relationships with the outside sales force and external customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepares estimates to include all costs associated with TFS projects

• Generate professional proposals

• Review all customer specifications, drawings, and special requirements and incorporate in to estimates

• Generate construction schedules to include the scope of work, timing, task duration, and manpower loadings.

• Identify tools and equipment required to perform a project

• Attend bid meetings and communicate with customers to clarify points in the bid documents.

• Prioritize estimates/proposals to meet the customers’ deadlines.

• Ensure proper paperwork is acquired for providing accurate estimates/proposals

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

• Build relationships with both internal and external customers

• Maintain contact with the outside sales force to discuss inquiries and provide assistance and support as required to serve the customers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Construction Science, Business, or Marketing is preferred

• 2-5 years’ experience in the industrial construction industry

• 5+ years’ Industrial Field/Construction experience in the petrochemical industry is preferred specifically working with pressure vessels and welding

• Knowledge of Mass Transfer Equipment installation

• Experience with scheduling/planning programs such as P6

• Ability to multi-task effectively for working on multiple estimates at the same time

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as required in dealing effectively with customers and co-workers.

• Effective interpersonal skills as required to develop successful relationships

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches related to equipment and hardware requirements and installation

• Proficiency in the use of personal computers including MS Office applications

TRAVEL: This position may require some business travel by air or car, which may require overnight stays for customer visits.  Travel can be up to 20%.
