Salary Range

$110,000 USD - $150,000 USD

Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Job Description:

The Senior Operational Due Diligence Analyst will identify and assess operational risk factors at prospective and currently funded traditional and alternative (hedge fund, private equity, private real estate, infrastructure) investment managers through the performance of operational due diligence reviews.

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business, compliance, and operational risks associated with traditional and alternative investment managers relative to the scope of the Global Manager Operational Due Diligence (GMODD) program requirements by conducting desktop and/or on-site reviews of investment managers globally.
  • Conduct/Lead due diligence reviews focusing on several areas including, but not limited to: organizational structure, regulatory compliance, legal entity risks, fund structure risks, allocation policy, valuation policy, cash and collateral management, trading infrastructure, asset monitoring, information technology, background checks, and third-party service providers (e.g., administrator, prime broker, custodian, auditor).
  • Obtain and analyze investment manager documentation including offering memorandums, fund formation documents, deal documents, financial statements, regulatory filings, due diligence questionnaires, and policies and procedures.
  • Identify key areas of operational risk and confirm that the manager has completed associated remediation actions and/or implemented appropriate mitigating controls.
  • Prepare written reports for internal and external distribution documenting the due diligence performed, findings, and recommendations to support conclusions.
  • Communicate summary conclusions to internally interested parties and conduct follow-up with investment managers on any recommendations or risk findings, as needed.
  • Maintain and track remediation/action plans with managers; escalate material issues to Investment, Legal, Compliance, and Operational Risk, and present at the appropriate governance forums.
  • Ensure records management/data systems are maintained and up to date.
  • Proactively identify and support efforts/projects to evolve the team’s practice in operational due diligence.
  • Contribute to client deliverables including ODD sections of due diligence reports, RFPs/RFIs, and responses to client operational questionnaires; support client meetings as subject-matter expert.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and key events across applicable areas (e.g., regulatory, technology/systems, trading).

Your Expertise

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field required; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Analyst, Operations, Internal Audit or Compliance roles within financial services, including Operational Due Diligence experience.
  • Willingness and ability for domestic and international travel. ( This role is not eligible for employment-based immigration sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
