Summary
The Vendor Portfolio Manager leads the Vendor Management Office (VMO) and is accountable for the design, governance, maturation, and enterprise adoption of OneDigital’s vendor management operating model. The role establishes frameworks, technology, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to manage third-party vendor relationships across their lifecycle while preserving appropriate business ownership and functional decision rights. The VMO is not a traditional source-to-pay or centralized procurement function; it provides the governance, visibility, standards, tools, and coordination needed to support business-led vendor decisions and lifecycle management. The role supports a diverse portfolio of transactional and contractual vendor relationships representing more than $200M in annual spend and more than 5,000 vendor relationships across the enterprise. Through strategic leadership and hands-on execution, the Vendor Portfolio Manager ensures vendor management practices are scalable, consistently applied, and aligned to enterprise objectives.
Partnering with business leaders and stakeholders, this role strengthens vendor governance, optimizes vendor investments, manages escalations, and supports enterprise growth through M&A activity and organic growth initiatives. The Vendor Portfolio Manager also oversees VMO team activities while remaining engaged in core vendor management, governance, risk, contractual, and operational work. In this capacity, the role delivers data-driven recommendations, guides vendor decisions, improves visibility, reduces unnecessary cost and duplication, supports regulatory compliance, and creates measurable organizational value.
The ideal candidate brings strategic leadership, vendor management expertise, and analytical judgement. They excel at solving complex business challenges, building consensus among stakeholder groups, and influencing decisions across a matrixed enterprise. Success requires balancing business enablement, financial value, risk management, compliance, and practical implementation while advancing a scalable, technology-enabled VMO.
