To complement our rapid growth, we are seeking a Revenue Accountant with an active CPA, based in our Philippines office. The person in this role should be a strong communicator who is able to work effectively with peers and management alike in a high-paced environment. The ideal candidate is someone who has accounting, strong technical accounting experience and can respond quickly, energetically, and enthusiastically.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess sales contracts to ensure appropriate revenue treatment in accordance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 guidelines.
- Ensure revenue recognition complies with company policy and SaaS accounting standards.
- Prepare deal and contract summaries for material completed transactions.
- Record and prepare journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and Cost of Services (COGS), including third-party cost accruals, deferred cost amortization, and one-time cost entries.
- Perform COGS flux analysis, identifying and clearly explaining variances month over month.
- Support vendor invoice review and reconciliation, coordinating with Accounts Payable and Sales Operations to resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis across both revenue and COGS accounts.
- Assist with external and internal audits by preparing reconciliations, supporting documentation, and coordinating with auditors.
- Collaborate closely with Sales Operations, Customer Support, Billing, and Collections teams (primarily U.S.-based) to analyze and reconcile customer accounts.
- Assist in managing and resolving customer billing, revenue, and vendor-related issues.
- Support implementation of process improvements, including SOX compliance initiatives and AI-assisted workflow automation (using Claude).
- Participate in Revenue accounting, COGS accounting, and Order-to-Cash transformation projects.
- Stay current on new revenue and cost accounting standards and assist in developing policies and scalable processes for the finance function.
Qualifications:
- This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance or related field, minimum of 3 years experience in accounting or finance,
- CPA Required, Big 4/Public Accounting experience
- Revenue Recognition experience including adoption of ASC 606
- Experience of working with NetSuite and Salesforce is plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Must have software/SaaS experience.
- Must have solid verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Amenable to work US time or night shift schedule
