What You Will Contribute

As a People Operations Coordinator, you will play an important role in shaping the employee experience at Badger Meter. This position offers broad exposure across multiple Human Resources disciplines, including employee experience, HR technology, reporting and analytics, benefits administration, compliance, and process improvement.   You will serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers while helping ensure key People Operations processes are delivered accurately, efficiently, and with a strong focus on customer service. Working closely with HR leaders and business partners, you'll contribute to initiatives that strengthen our culture, support our workforce, and improve the overall employee experience.  This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, leveraging technology, and building a strong foundation for long-term growth within Human Resources.

What You'll Do

Employee Experience & People Operations

  • Support employees throughout their lifecycle, including onboarding, internal transfers, and offboarding activities.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions, providing exceptional customer service and guidance on HR programs and processes.
  • Maintain employee records and personnel documentation with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
  • Prepare employment-related communications, correspondence, and documentation.
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs, service awards, and other employee experience initiatives.
  • Support document retention, auditing, and compliance-related activities.
  • Assist with administration of the Motus vehicle program.

HR Technology & Reporting

  • Maintain employee information within HR systems and ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee data.
  • Generate standard and ad hoc reports to support business and HR decision-making.
  • Conduct regular data audits and identify opportunities to improve data quality and process efficiency.
  • Participate in HR system enhancements, testing, implementations, and technology improvements.
  • Partner with HR team members to streamline processes and enhance the employee and manager experience through technology.

Benefits & Employee Programs

  • Support the administration of employee benefit programs and related activities.
  • Process benefit-related invoices and assist with vendor coordination.
  • Coordinate employee programs, including tuition reimbursement, wellness initiatives, commuter benefits, scholarship programs, and other company-sponsored offerings.
  • Respond to employment verification requests and support employee benefit inquiries.

Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Execute established compliance, recordkeeping, and documentation processes.
  • Support internal and external audits and assist with required reporting activities.
  • Ensure sensitive employee information is handled with discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the People Operations function.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • Associate's or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Benefits, Payroll, Customer Service, Business Operations, or a related field.
  • Experience working with HR systems and employee data preferred.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Interest in HR technology, process improvement, and delivering a great employee experience.
