Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust  automation frameworks  for web and mobile applications.

• Develop automated test scripts using  Playwright  for web applications and  Appium  for Android/iOS mobile applications.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and cross-browser/device testing.

• Integrate automated test suites with  CI/CD pipelines  for continuous testing.

• Develop reusable automation components and improve test framework scalability and maintainability.

• Perform  API testing and automation  using tools/frameworks such as Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API, or equivalent.

• Analyze test failures, application logs, and defects to identify root causes.

• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and QA engineers throughout the SDLC.

• Participate in test planning, estimation, test strategy, and automation coverage discussions.

• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, execution time, reliability, and overall product quality.

• Track defects and testing activities using tools such as  JIRA/Azure DevOps .

• Participate in code reviews and ensure automation code follows development and engineering best practices.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in  QA Automation / SDET / Software Testing .

• Strong hands-on experience with  Appium  for mobile automation.

• Strong hands-on experience with  Playwright  for web/UI automation.

• Experience with  JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python , with preference for JavaScript/TypeScript when using Playwright.

• Good understanding of  Android and iOS application testing .

• Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing.

• Strong knowledge of automation framework design, including  Page Object Model (POM)  and reusable test components.

• Experience with  API testing and automation .

• Experience with version-control systems such as  Git .

• Hands-on experience integrating automation tests with  CI/CD tools  such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Strong understanding of  SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, defect lifecycle, and testing methodologies .

• Good debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause-analysis skills.

• Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
