Must Haves
- 3+ years of experience as an Underwriting Assistant, working with Inland Marine coverages.
- Hands-on experience working with AAIS forms and the AAIS forms library.
- Solid understanding of policy issuance, endorsement processing, and the renewal lifecycle.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fully remote, nationwide role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with comfort learning new underwriting and policy administration systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence corresponding directly with agents and brokers.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience specifically underwriting or supporting contractors equipment and builders risk.
- Familiarity with policy administration and rating systems used in commercial P&C.
- Progress toward or attainment of an insurance industry designation (e.g., AU, INS, CPCU).
- A genuine curiosity about InsurTech or technology-driven insurance businesses.
