ITW Performance Polymers is a Division within ITW’s Polymers & Fluids segment with headquarters in Massachusetts with additional operations in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Shannon, Ireland. Performance Polymers is a world leader in the research, development, and manufacturing of structural and semi-structural adhesives, grouting and chocking compounds, sprayable syntactic materials and wear-resistant coatings and repair compounds. Our products are designed to reduce customers’ costs by eliminating steps in their manufacturing processes, reducing the number of parts in an assembly or improving the quality of assembled finished goods. This position is based onsite in Danvers, MA.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Support installation, integration, and startup of new automation and process equipment that will improve batch processing speed, reliability, quality, a s well as process and operational safety .

Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues and work with maintenance team and external contractors to correct issues impacting plant uptime .

I mplement safety initiatives and STOP Card projects which identify and correct site or personnel safety hazards .

Provide field support during startups, process upsets, and abnormal operating conditions .

Modify and troubleshoot basic PLC and HMI systems to support new equipment and process improvements .

Work with various contractors and vendors during equipment installation and commissioning .

Support OSHA Process Safety Management ( PSM ) elements including Management of Change ( MOC ) , Pre-Startup Safety . Review ( PSSR ) , Mechanical Integrity, Procedural creation .

Participate in Process Hazard Analyses ( PHAs/HAZOPs ) and implement electrical and control-related safeguards .

Lead electrical root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions .

Ensure compliance with NEC, and hazardous area classification requirements ( Explosion Proof C lass 1 &2, D iv 1&2) .

Develop and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, loop diagrams, and any associated documentation necessary .

Support electrical scope development for capital and reliability projects .

Lead small to mid-sized electrical and automation projects .

Promote, support, and adhere to all safety, environmental and quality related policies and procedures .
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field .

5+ years of experience in automation of chemical, process, or industrial manufacturing environments.

Working knowledge of PLCs, power and control wiring , and industrial electrical systems .

Experience installing new automation equipment for industrial manufacturing applications and integrating into existing manufacturing processes .

Experience supporting operations in a live production environment - specific experience in an electrically rated production environment or Process Safety Management (PSM) facility is a plus.

Experience working with Ignition or Factory Talk software preferred.

Familiarity with OSHA PSM requirements .

Strong troubleshooting and communication skills .
Compensation Information:
The salary for this role is $110,000.00 - $130,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
