Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the development and delivery of emergency management education and training programs. Assists in preparing instructional materials, coordinating schedules, and facilitating learning sessions related to emergency preparedness and response. Collaborates with staff and leadership to promote awareness and compliance with safety and emergency protocols. Ensures training activities align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions

• Assist in planning and delivering emergency management education and training programs.

• Prepare instructional materials, presentations, and resources for staff education sessions.

• Coordinate training schedules, attendance tracking, and documentation of participant completion.

• Support emergency drills and exercises to evaluate readiness and response effectiveness.

• Maintain training databases and records in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.

• Communicate with departments to ensure understanding of emergency policies and procedures.

• Provide on-site support during emergency events, drills, and evaluations as directed.

• Participate in reviewing and updating emergency education content based on feedback and regulatory changes.

• Collaborate with educators, safety officers, and management to enhance program quality and engagement.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

0-2 years of experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.

Certifications & Licensures

Completion of NIMS courses (IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and IS-800) required within six months of hire.

Completion of FEMA Professional Development Series and/or Professional Continuity Practitioner preferred.
