Business Manager (Project Manager)

Drive the delivery and evolution of critical Canadian capital markets infrastructure.

The Role

We are supporting a leading capital markets client through a critical market infrastructure transformation initiative focused on the Canadian Fixed Income ecosystem and the ongoing development of key clearing, settlement and securities services.

As a Project Manager , you will coordinate business and technology delivery activities across multiple initiatives, working with Product Managers, Finance, Portfolio Management, Operations, Technology and Client Engagement teams. You will help ensure initiatives are effectively planned, governed and delivered, with clear visibility of priorities, budgets, risks, dependencies and operational impacts.

This role combines business-focused project management with strong stakeholder coordination and may also include responsibility for technology delivery on smaller initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate product initiatives with Product Managers, defining key features and deliverables while supporting business case development with Product Management and Finance teams.

• Partner with Portfolio Management on priorities and budgets, maintaining status reporting, financial updates, delivery milestones, risks and dependencies.

• Coordinate release plans and schedules with Technology Project Managers, tracking delivery progress and supporting technology project management for smaller initiatives where required.

• Assess business and operational impacts with Product Management and Operations teams, coordinating participant impacts and communications with the Client Engagement team.

• Support governance and compliance activities, including operational documentation, legal and regulatory requirements, audit control updates, risk logs and CMRE assessments where required.

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of experience delivering complex programs, projects or transformation initiatives within Capital Markets, Financial Services or another highly regulated environment.

• Proven experience coordinating multiple workstreams, stakeholder groups, dependencies, budgets and delivery teams across complex initiatives.

• Strong understanding of project and program governance, risk management, financial management, planning and delivery methodologies.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across business, product, operations and technology teams.

• Experience developing business cases and translating business priorities into structured plans, milestones and delivery outcomes.

Bonus Points For

• Experience within Fixed Income, Repo, Clearing, Settlement, Asset Servicing, Custody or broader Capital Markets infrastructure.

• Knowledge of market infrastructure organizations, financial market utilities or regulatory-driven transformation initiatives.

• Experience working with product lifecycle management, release management and operational impact assessments.

• Familiarity with participant-facing market services, including ATON, CCMS or comparable clearing and settlement platforms.

• Consulting or client-facing experience delivering transformation initiatives for financial services organizations.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is listed below. Additionally, this position may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary/variable bonus payment.

The base pay offered to selected candidates will be within the salary range and the placement will vary based upon a variety of factors, including, but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity.
