Description

Why loveholidays?

We’re on a mission to open the world to everyone, giving our customers unlimited choice, unmatched ease and unmissable value for their next getaway.

Our trailblaze together culture is what drives our success, powered by our people and the way they work. Using progressive technology, we drive cutting-edge innovation and improve how our customers discover, book and experience their holidays. You’ll have the opportunity to accelerate your growth through meaningful challenges, new experiences and the freedom to shape your own path. You’ll create impact for our future by taking ownership, contributing to shared goals and helping shape what comes next, all as part of our enhanced international community of talented, collaborative and passionate teams.

The difference you’ll make

OTA Platform builds the global infrastructure for holiday commerce, turning travel supply into commercially optimised, discoverable, bookable, payable and manageable holidays through one reliable, AI-native platform. Trading OS gives commercial teams and AI one place to configure, test, understand and progressively automate pricing, packaging, promotions, availability and holiday terms. It provides the shared data, tools and services needed to make these changes safely, quickly and at scale.

Reporting to the Director of OTA Platform, you will define and deliver the long-term product vision for Trading OS. This is a platform product role: your customers include commercial operators and the product, engineering and AI teams that depend on shared and reusable capabilities. You will:

  • Build a flexible trading platform: Define the shared tools, data and APIs that let teams manage pricing, packaging, promotions, availability and holiday terms across markets and channels.
  • Create reliable foundations: Improve the quality, consistency and visibility of the data and services that sit behind commercial decisions.
  • Make commercial change easier: Help teams configure, test and roll out changes safely, with less dependency on engineering.
  • Use data and AI to improve decisions: Build the controls, insight and evidence needed to learn what works and introduce responsible automation over time.

Your day-to-day:

At loveholidays, we strive to improve and value people who get hands-on and drive change. In this role, that might look like:

  • Strategic planning: Partner with lead engineers, Revenue Management and commercial leaders to set the Trading OS vision, outcomes, roadmap and measurable service coverage.
  • Platform discovery: Identify the shared service, API, data model or tool that reduces duplication and supports future use cases.
  • Building with AI: Use AI as a practical part of how you work, from discovery and analysis through to helping build, test and improve production-ready capabilities with engineering.
  • Leading delivery: Lead major work across decisioning, package building and the tools teams use to manage commercial decisions. Make clear trade-offs between what the business needs now and systems that will support future growth.
  • Data-led decision making: Define metrics such as operator time-to-change, engineering input avoided, adoption, coverage, reliability and commercial impact; use them to prioritise and learn through experimentation.
  • Technical partnership: Work credibly with engineering on service boundaries, data contracts, interfaces, reliability, performance and the appropriate architecture for scale and the use of AI.
  • Cross-functional alignment: Create clear narratives, product briefs and decisions that give teams a shared mental model and let senior stakeholders resolve trade-offs quickly.
  • Platform adoption: Treat internal teams as customers; establish onboarding, documentation and feedback loops so reusable capabilities are adopted rather than bypassed.

Your skillset:

  • Platform product leadership: A proven record of owning technical, API-heavy, data-rich or internal platform products used by multiple teams or customers.
  • Systems thinking: You see the connections between data, workflows, services and user journeys, and can turn ambiguous requirements into stable, composable product capabilities.
  • Strong technical fluency: You can lead informed conversations about APIs, data models, configuration, distributed systems, observability, reliability, experimentation and AI-enabled products without needing to be the engineer in the room.
  • Commercial judgement: You can understand trading objectives and guardrails, connect platform investment to customer value and margin, and make sound prioritisation trade-offs.
  • Outstanding execution: You balance long-term platform health with fast delivery, create focus in ambiguity and lead teams through complex dependencies.
  • Data and experimentation: You are comfortable defining measures, working directly with data and designing controlled tests that distinguish correlation from genuine commercial value.
  • Influential communication: You build alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders and explain complex systems in practical language.
  • AI curiosity: You understand the opportunity and risks of AI-assisted decisioning, and are excited to build the safe data, controls and evaluation foundations it requires. You also look for practical ways to use AI in your own work, helping you explore ideas, analyse information and work more effectively.
