Senior Integrations Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a senior individual contributor role on a small integrations team building the backend services behind a cold-chain risk-management platform used in pharma and perishables logistics. You will own data-heavy distributed systems that contextualize IoT monitoring data, quantify shipment risk in real time, and power predictive workflows at scale. The work is high-leverage and directly impacts whether temperature-sensitive shipments arrive safely and on time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design and build backend services that drive a logistics orchestration and decision-intelligence platform.

• Own end-to-end partner data flows, from multi-vendor IoT data ingestion and normalization through warehousing, observability, and on-call support.

• Build and maintain event-driven architectures using messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Develop predictive systems for on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance and automate exception-handling workflows.

• Design and integrate external partner APIs, webhooks, queues, carrier feeds, sensor streams, and vendor connections.

• Deploy and operate containerized services on cloud infrastructure, maintaining reliability standards appropriate for mission-critical logistics use cases.

• Collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teammates at a growth-stage startup where your work ships fast and has real visibility.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5 or more years of backend engineering experience building scalable distributed systems.

• Hands-on proficiency in Python and TypeScript/Node.js; strong Java experience is a plus.

• Demonstrated experience owning external partner-facing operational data integrations end to end, rather than purely internal, DevOps, ETL-only, or general full-stack work.

• Experience with IoT data ingestion, processing, and contextualization.

• Strong SQL skills and depth in relational data modeling; familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.

• Experience with API design and development using REST and/or gRPC.

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.

• Experience deploying and operating services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Solid software engineering practices: testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.

• Ability to operate independently as a senior IC on a lean team.

• Domain knowledge in logistics, cold chain, supply chain, or IoT is a strong plus.

• Prior experience at a growth-stage or Series A company is a plus.

• Familiarity with data security, privacy, or regulatory considerations relevant to pharma or cold-chain domains is a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $130,000 to $160,000 USD annually, plus equity and a cash bonus. Visa sponsorship is available.

LOCATION

Fully remote, US-based. Candidates must be able to work US-aligned hours.
