DACH Regional Controller, Heart Failure (m/w/d)

This position works out of our location in Eschborn ( Abbott Medical GmbH ) in our Heart Failure (HF) business, where we’re developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives

Position Summary

• The DACH Controller serves as the lead finance business partner for the DACH region, providing financial leadership and oversight across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

• The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the region's financial results, including ownership of the Income Statement (P&L), Balance Sheet, cash flow forecasting, financial planning, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Own weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance reporting for DACH

• Maintain full ownership of the Income Statement, including revenue, gross margin, operating expenses and profitability analysis.

• Maintain full ownership of the Balance Sheet, including reconciliations, reserves, accruals, fixed assets, inventory and working capital management.

• Lead forecasting, annual planning, LBE and long-range planning processes.

• Partner with the Regional Director, Marketing Managers, and other Commercial Leaders to identify risks and opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with Abbott financial policies, internal controls and statutory requirements.

• Support audits, financial reviews and business case evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

• 10+ years of progressive finance and controlling experience.

• Strong knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow management.

• Strong analytical, communication and business partnering skills.
