Additionally, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to frequently travel to CDMO manufacturing sites, and have prior experience navigating CDMO technical relationships including the ability to strategically and tactically drive technical improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Influence manufacturing strategies across a large portfolio of projects while mentoring US- and European-based scientists and engineers to build organizational capabilities in scale-up and GMP manufacturing

The successful candidate can walk into a manufacturing plant and rapidly assess:

  • Whether the process will fit the equipment, and where scale-up risks are likely to occur
  • Whether environmental health and safety and GMP quality risks are adequately addressed, and if not, have the ability productively raise these risks to internal and external stakeholders and leadership while successfully driving resolution
  • Whether the process, equipment, or operations strategy requires modification to maximize the probability of success
