Director of Operations, Workplace Experience
About Aidoc
Aidoc is the market leader in healthcare AI and has developed the world's largest clinical frontier model, supporting nearly 50 million patients each year. Aidoc is deployed in more than 2,000 medical centers worldwide. Since our founding in 2016, Aidoc has raised over $500 million and achieved a record number of FDA-cleared solutions.
Medical diagnosis is hitting a breaking point, where the number of physicians hasn't kept up with the rapidly growing patient load. This leads to misdiagnosis and treatment delays that result in hundreds of thousands of deaths every year. Aidoc assists clinicians by precisely highlighting diseases directly on medical images, preventing misdiagnosis and ensuring that urgent patients receive the immediate attention they need.
About this role
At Aidoc, we believe the workplace should work as well as the people in it. We're looking for a Director of Operations, Workplace Experience to own how employees, candidates and visitors experience our offices around the world, from the moment they arrive to the spaces, tools and services that help them do their best work.
You'll treat the workplace as a product: setting the global strategy and standards, designing employee journeys, measuring what matters, and leading the partners who deliver a safe, efficient and engaging workplace across all of our sites.
You'll lead the delivery of what Aidoc calls “Quiet Quality” across workplace operations: exceptionally high quality, expressed with restraint. Make our spaces and services functional, thoughtfully finished and welcoming, so people feel seen and cared for. Balance this standard with cost discipline, avoiding both unnecessary flash and false economies that compromise quality.
Responsibilities
- Set the workplace strategy. Define and own the global workplace vision, aligned with company growth, our hybrid work policy and our culture. Establish experience standards and service levels for every Aidoc site.
- Design the workplace experience. Map key journeys such as onboarding, a typical office day, visiting another site and hosting customers. Include candidate and visitor arrival, and consider both practical needs and how people feel at each step. Find the friction points and design better experiences.
- Measure and improve. Build a workplace measurement framework covering employee satisfaction, space utilization, service response times and cost per seat. Run regular employee research and turn insights into a prioritized improvement roadmap. Walk the sites with fresh eyes and seek feedback from newcomers. Check whether people feel welcomed and cared for, and follow recurring issues through to resolution.
- Own the office portfolio. Lead space planning, office design, capacity, moves, expansions and new-site openings globally. Bring in experts (e,g, design, signage, ergonomics) where we lack expertise, and test spaces in everyday use before considering them finished.
- Manage budget and vendors. Manage the global workplace budget. Select and manage strategic vendors and service providers, and hold them accountable to contracts and SLAs. Assess quality in practice, beyond SLA compliance. Favor fewer, better choices, and invest in expertise and materials where they make a meaningful difference.
- Partner across the company. Work with People on culture, engagement, onboarding and office events, and with IT/IS on workplace technology like meeting rooms, booking systems and visitor management. Own workplace policies and employee communications across sites.
- Sustain quality every day. Build clear accountability across local teams and partners for maintaining spaces and services. Make it easy to raise concerns, respond respectfully and act promptly.
- Plan ahead and find a way forward. Protect time for thoughtful planning and fresh ideas, including for recurring workplace events and services.
Requirements
- A practiced eye for quality, detail and finish, with examples of creating functional, welcoming and understated spaces or experiences within budget; sound judgment about when specialist expertise is needed
- 5+ years in workplace, facilities, real estate or hospitality operations
- Proven ownership of a global or multi-site workplace portfolio in a fast-growing tech company or similar environment
- An experience-first mindset, with a track record of redesigning employee or customer journeys and showing measurable results
- Experience managing budgets, real estate projects and strategic vendor relationships
- A hands-on approach to noticing gaps, challenging established habits respectfully and finding creative solutions
Nice To Have
- Background in service design, UX research or premium hospitality
- Experience opening new offices or leading a major office redesign end to end
