Job Profile Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director – Finance, Digitization and Strategic Initiatives, this role is the execution engine behind the modernization agenda spanning Commercial Finance and Strategic Global Sourcing (SGS). The Manager owns delivery of assigned digitization, process redesign, and contracting initiatives — building the business case, baselining performance honestly, tracking benefits to the P&L, and reporting progress against committed KPIs. Critically, this role owns quality assurance, quality control, and SOX and internal control integrity across the digitization portfolio broadly — not solely within SGS finance — ensuring that every process that is redesigned, automated, or migrated to a new system emerges with control coverage equal to or stronger than the state it replaced, and with documentation and evidence that withstand internal and external audit. This role is expected to challenge existing processes, assumptions, and reporting routines rather than administer them: identifying low-value and duplicated activity, quantifying its cost, and designing the target-state process that removes it without weakening control. The Manager also supports the build-out of the SGS contract digitization capability and contracting strategy, and prepares the analysis, materials, and value cases the Senior Director carries into enterprise digitization governance forums.
Job Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads assigned initiatives within the sourcing and Commercial Finance modernization portfolio from business case through implementation, maintaining the plan, milestones, owners, dependencies, and status reporting
- Builds and defends the financial case for each initiative — hard savings, cost avoidance, working capital, and margin impact — using defensible baselines rather than estimates
- Baselines, tracks, and reports the KPI set defined by Finance, Sourcing, and Commercial leadership; escalates initiatives that are off-track and recommends corrective action or reset
- Performs current-state process analysis across sourcing and sourcing finance; documents handoffs, cycle times, controls, and effort, and identifies work that can be retired, consolidated, or automated
- Quantifies the cost of manual workarounds, duplicated effort, and fragmented systems, and models the headcount and cost-structure impact of the proposed target state
- Designs target-state processes and operating procedures with clear before/after cost, cycle-time, and quality measures, and supports adoption and change management through go-live
- Owns the quality assurance and quality control framework for the digitization portfolio broadly — defines test plans, acceptance criteria, data validation and reconciliation routines, and post-implementation reviews, and provides sign-off before a new process or system moves to production
- Ensures every process redesign, automation, and system migration preserves or strengthens SOX coverage: identifies impacted key controls, redesigns them for the target state, updates control narratives and risk-control matrices, and secures agreement from Controllership, Internal Audit, and external audit
- Partners with Controllership, Internal Audit, and IT General Controls owners to maintain segregation of duties, system access, change management, and audit evidence standards across new and existing digital workflows
- Establishes ongoing control monitoring and exception reporting for automated and digitized processes, including data integrity and reconciliation checks, so control breakdowns are detected and remediated before they become audit findings
- Maintains process, control, and system documentation across the initiative portfolio to a standard that withstands internal and external audit scrutiny, and supports auditor walkthroughs and testing requests
- Supports the design and stand-up of the SGS contract digitization capability, covering intake, authoring, approval, execution, repository, and downstream contract data usage
- Assists in developing and rolling out SGS contracting standards, templates, playbooks, and delegation-of-authority guidelines in partnership with category management
- Analyzes contract and sourcing data to surface value leakage, off-contract spend, expiring agreements, and terms that constrain commercial objectives
- Partners with technology, sourcing, commercial, and operations teams to translate business requirements into system and workflow solutions, and supports testing, deployment, and user enablement
- Prepares business cases, benefits-realization reporting, and decision materials for the enterprise digitization governance steering committee
- Builds and maintains reporting, dashboards, and models that track initiative benefits from commitment through realization in the P&L
- Establishes and maintains continuous-improvement routines so gains are sustained after an initiative closes
- Acts as a key point of contact between Commercial Finance and SGS on assigned initiatives, resolving issues and unblocking work that crosses functional lines
- Provides day-to-day direction, review, and coaching to analysts supporting assigned initiatives
- Performs related duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices, and to work directly with internal and external auditors
