About the Department

Deloitte Tax & Legal simplifies tax and back-office management for you by bringing a rigorous approach that combines practical tax advice with a robust compliance framework. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic person to join our  Global Employer Services Team as an  Immigration Manager . This position will be based in our Nairobi office in Kenya.

Main purpose of the job

The holder of this position will ensure that the client and Firm’s expectations are met by delivering high-quality services and maintaining high utilization levels.

What you will do

• Managing the client portfolio as allocated.

• Ensuring preparation of proposals and engagement letters, ensuring client take on procedures are completed timely.

• Working with the Partner and the other GES Managers, be the lead driver of relocation services.

• Managing the team to ensure client deliverables and deadlines are met.

• Managing working capital and debtors for client portfolio.

• Effectively managing all routine compliance and advisory engagements in a timely manner.

• Drive business development aimed at growing the GES portfolio and revenues.

• Managing and executing all global compliance assignments.

• Managing client communication.

• Training and coaching (classroom and on job) the junior staff.

• And any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

• Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in a client-facing role handling employment taxes, tax controversy, payroll-related tax advisory and global mobility.

• In depth knowledge/understanding of the Kenyan tax laws.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good organization and planning skills.

• Bachelor’s degree (upper 2nd Class) in business/commerce, Economics, or other relevant field.

• Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA) – will be an added advantage.
