Dispatch & Systems Coordinator

H.G. Leach & Co Ltd is a family-owned quarrying and contracting business based in Tirohia, with over 70 years of experience.

About the role

Working alongside our Logistics Manager, you will coordinate aggregate deliveries and customer orders, keeping up to 30 company and subcontractor trucks moving during peak periods.

Alongside the day-to-day dispatch work, you will identify ways to improve our sales and delivery systems, reduce repetitive administration and make information easier to access. We are looking for someone who enjoys finding smarter ways of working and is open to using AI, automation and digital tools to improve efficiency.

What you will bring

• Experience in dispatch, transport, logistics, customer service or coordination.

• Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Confidence using spreadsheets and business systems.

• A proactive mindset, with an interest in technology and continuous improvement.

Quarrying, aggregate or heavy transport experience is an advantage, but the right attitude and transferable skills are equally important.
