Post Purchase, Private Pricing Program & Experiences
Do you want to be part of an innovative and rapidly growing business? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented, customer-obsessed, self-directed builder to drive the innovation and enhancement of the Private Pricing Program through the post-contract purchase experience. You will join the Private Pricing Programs and Experiences (3PX) team, within the Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) organization. In this role you will own strategic initiatives, build scalable processes and mechanisms, shape requirements for features that improve the Private Pricing customer experience post contract signatures, and lead cross-functional work that cuts across functions, organizations, and cultures — including Billing, Monetization, Tax, Payments, Legal, and Finance. You will find ways to create a delightful post-purchase experience through the effective use of Amazon mechanisms (data, narratives, one-way vs. two-way door decisions). This requires a combination of long-term vision and tactical execution. You must work closely with internal stakeholders and senior leadership to scope and frame transformations to the post-purchase experience, achieving fluency in both the Private Pricing Program and the processes that support our deal pipeline and post-purchase experience to deliver measurable business impact. We are looking for a builder with sound business judgment who thrives in ambiguity.
Key job responsibilities You own complex, strategic initiatives with cross-organizational impact within the post-signature experience across Process & Governance; Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management; Seller Enablement; and Innovation & Continuous Improvement.
Proactively identify and resolve friction in billing before it reaches the customer, partnering with our billing stakeholders to drive improvements. Lead regular audits across all Post Purchase domains, conduct root cause analysis to uncover systemic issues, and treat every defect as a signal: resolve the immediate issue and fix the underlying system to prevent recurrence at scale. Define and establish best practices, SOPs, and governance frameworks that keep post-purchase day-to-day accurate, compliant, and scalable.
Serve as the backbone for Private Pricing post-execution activities. Define the metrics that matter, translate complex data into actionable insights, and deliver strategic recommendations that inform decisions at the leadership level. Lead attrition analysis and renewal-process improvement — driving renewals through proactive retention mechanisms, and identify and surfaces systemic gaps. Support the global expansion of AWS’s Seller of Record (SoR) capabilities, coordinating with Commerce Platform, Legal, Tax, and Compliance to keep tooling and seller-facing documentation current and accurate.
Coordinate initiatives across AWS teams, drive accountability through clear ownership and milestone tracking, and translate ambiguous requirements into executable plans. Influence senior leadership (up to VP, and SVP where needed) across Commerce Platform, Global Sales, Legal, Finance Operations, and AWS Global Expansion.
Define requirements for self-service insights and content that enable sellers to operate at scale, making correct action the default. Run experimental pilots to test interventions at small scale before full-scale implementation, and identify opportunities for automation that eliminate friction in the post-purchase journey before it compounds. Hire, mentor, and develop others, and raise the bar for the team.
A day in the life The 3PX Post Purchase team is the backbone for AWS Private Pricing customers after contract execution — transforming defects into improvements, driving strategic initiatives and global expansion. Success is measured by defect volume, resolution time, billing accuracy rates, seller self-service adoption, and customer renewal rates.
