Mee So is a vibrant restaurant located at Ibis Styles Sydney Central, inspired by the streets of Seoul and Tokyo. It offers a unique fusion of Korean and Japanese culinary techniques, featuring a diverse menu that includes innovative flavors and a signature cocktail menu crafted by skilled mixologists. The restaurant is known for its lively atmosphere, with themed music nights and retro arcade games, making it a great spot for both dining and entertainment. Additionally, Mee So provides various dining options, including a tasting menu and special events, ensuring a memorable experience for guests.

About the Role

As Chef de Partie at Mee So, you’ll:

- Take ownership of your section and ensure smooth, efficient service

- Prepare and cook a range of Japanese and Korean-inspired dishes

- Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to execute menu concepts and daily specials

- Maintain high standards of presentation, consistency, and flavour

- Help train and support junior kitchen staff

- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are met

- Contribute ideas for new dishes and seasonal menu updates

You’ll be working in a fast-paced, creative kitchen where quality and innovation come first.

What You’ll Bring

- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Chef  ready to step up

- A genuine love of Asian cuisine , especially Japanese and Korean

- A flair for plating, flavour balance, and presentation

- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills

- A commitment to quality, consistency, and creativity

- Availability for a mix of day, night, and weekend shifts

- Hold a valid Food Safety Certificate

- Have full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available)
